"Elevation" tour - november 5, 2001 - Austin, TX - Frank Erwin Center, Univ. of Texas - Wild Honey (acoustic), Please (acoustic), What's Going On...a fan called U2fox was there: "I am exhausted. My ears are ringing. I have the worst headache ever. And this was about the greatest night of my life. I arrived at the Erwin Center at 4:45am on Monday morning, hoping against all hope that I would get my chance to be "on the rail" inside the heart. My dream came true. I ended up not only on the rail, but right there directly in front of the Man himself. For those of you there, I was wearing the number "7" Edge-style shirt. Having seen the boys 5 times previously this year, a couple of times within 3 or four "rows" of the front, I can honestly say that this experience exceeds the others by a factor of five. Just 24 hours later, my memories are not of each song played, but simply of being within an arm's reach of my favorite artist of all time. I was pumped even more when Edge came over to me before leaving--he saw my shirt-and gave me an approving nod and handshake. To top the evening off, Dallas Schoo came over to me and handed me a pick. And by the way, 24 hours later, my ears are literally still ringing. Edge wears. 'Stars'-burgundy shirt tonight."

Edge rehearsed 'The Saints Are Coming' - November 5, 2006 - This afternoon, U2 began rehearsing on the main stage at the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre. All of U2 had not arrived, but someone was practicing on stage - it was The Edge. He did not play any full songs, but he rehearsed segments of the following songs (not in order): 1. City Of Blinding Lights (especially the intro) - 2. Elevation - 3. I Will Follow - 4. Vertigo - 5. The Saints Are Coming. He was also inserting other, unfamiliar musical segments - maybe was simply playing around, or were new ideas he has been working on. He may have also rehearsed Bad. It should also be noted that some small-scale visual testing took place, utilising the two small screens to the side of the stage, up the top, rather than the main big screen. Yesterday, at night, lighting tests with the main screen were performed when it was sufficiently dark. Look for Edge; Edge, too
