"The Joshua Tree" - june 12, 1987. U2 perform in London, England at Wembley Stadium. U2 perform in front of 72,000 fans each night. The first night's show is remarkable in that U2 themselves are amazed at the site of the 72,000 fans that have come to see them. Says Bono backstage, "I can't believe that many people came to see an Irish band..." Support for the first night is "World Party", "Spear of Destiny", and "The Pretenders".

"Elevation" tour - june 12, 2001 / Philadelphia, PA - First Union Center - PJ Harvey. During the encore, Bono takes a ringing cell phone from a female fan in the first row and answers it. He tells the girl's Mom that her daughter is fine. Edge wears red shirt #7 this night.

City single can't beat the Crazy Frog - june 12, 2005. U2's "City of Blinding Lights" single debuts at No. 2 on the UK charts, falling short of Crazy Frog's version of "Axel F", a mobile phone ring tone which tops the singles chart for the third week in a row.


30th 'VERTIGO' show GELSENKIRCHEN - june 12, 2005 - Gelsenkirchen, Germany - Schalke Arena - The Thrills, Feeder - Edge sings "Party Girl" 'oh oh oh' - TUTUTUTU / no "Everyone" intro / Billy Corgan, Wim Wenders and Herbert Groenemeyer were there. For the first time, the 'Everyone' intro is not used before tonight's show. Bono thanks Herbert Groenemeyer and Wim Wenders before 'One.' Songs rehearsed earlier include 'Crumbs From Your Table', 'All I Want Is You,' 'Original of the Species,' 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses,' and 'With or Without You.' Only the latter is played tonight. Edge sings 'oh oh oh': (A blasting version as usual from ALL BECAUSE OF YOU opend the last part of the show. Followed by an smooth version of YAHWEH. Now Bono smiled on the Edge and said "ok because of the special location" an the Edge went into PARTY GIRL, Bono went to the Edge and said "you going to sing this" and The Edge sang "oh oh oh" because he was so surprised Bono continued with vocals, a really great version. Edge sings TUTUTUTU: (..."Party Girl" was so funny. Bono wanted to sing it but couldn't remember the lyrics. He then gave the mic to Edge but the only thing he sang was TUTUTUTU.
