"War" tour - june 25, 1983. U2 perform in Atlanta, Georgia at the Civic Center. Bono's voice is strained and he cannot hit the high notes because of a cold. Support is "The Alarm".

37th 'VERTIGO' show - june 25, 2005 - Dublin, Ireland - Croke Park - Paddy Casey, The Thrills - "Out Of Control" / female fan during "All I Want Is You" / male fan during "Party Girl" / Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is in attendance / 'Worst weddingband, best rock band' / Edge and his guitar on "Party Girl" - An early-in-the-set version of Out of Control -- the song this city chose as U2's first single 26 years ago -- gets the crowd pumped up. It's the first time the song has been played on the European tour, and only the second time all year. Bono dances with a female fan during All I Want Is You, and brings a male fan on stage to play guitar during Party Girl. Bono tells the crowd that the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is in attendance.At soundcheck, U2 rehearsed "Until the End of the World" and "Bad. Edge so happy. Edge. The stage. Adam and the crowd. Bono and the red lights. Party Girl on the screen. Bono is going on about stealing The Edge from Wales and delivering him to a GAA stadium when we realise they are playing Out of Control....says Bono: 'Watch those boys on the second date, girls...'...For Party Girl, it 'pays to advertise'. Canadian fan Matt carrying a 'I can play guitar' sign is spotted by Bono early on in the show and he gets his 15 minutes (almost literally - Dallas can't find a guitar for him that works and The Edge is very reluctant to give up his own) playing Party Girl with the band and this time Bono gets the words right. 'Worst wedding band, best rock band,' he boasts. The 80,000 fans agree....Paul McGuinness announced on RTE's news bulletin that the band are considering taking this outdoor show to the States next year....Bono was seen signing autographs for screaming fans outside the Clarence Hotel where the band, no doubt, celebrated their second succesful conquest.
