"11 O'Clock Tick Tock" - june 5, 1980. U2 perform in Leeds, England at the Fan Club. Support is "Fashion".
"War" tour "Red Rocks" - june 5, 1983. U2 play the Red Rocks amphitheater in Denver. Pouring rain almost halts the show, but U2 and McGuinness do not want to cancel, despite Berry Fey's(the concert's promoter) objections. Despite adverse weather conditions, more than 9000 fans show up. Opening acts "The Divinyls" and "The Alarm" are given the choice not to go on--both groups decide to cancel. Three torches are placed around the stage, and are suddenly lit. U2 are announced, "Bob Dylan did it -- they called it 'Hard Rain` and made a movie -- that's what you've got right here, so you're all a part of history. Ladies and gentlemen, a warm welcome, please, from Dublin, Ireland : U2!" The gig is recorded by British music show "The Tube" and later released on video. Some tracks also appear on the live mini album "Under a Blood Red Sky" released later in 1983. A wide variety of versions are made for different TV channels to air(Showtime, MTV). The show is first aired on the British radio show, "The Source" on July 8, 1983. The band must later pay $50,000 for Bono's impromptu and unauthorized rendition of Stephen Sondheim's Send in the Clowns during "The Electric Co." Some great photos on: Interference
"ZOOTV" tour - june 5, 1992. U2 perform in Dortmund, Germany at Westfalenhalle. On the second night, the pushing and shoving at the front of the stage is getting out of hand. "I've just learned how to dance, and I want you to try it out. You need a bit of space, so please move back," Bono motions with his hands. "One" is dedicated to Adam Clayton's mother, Jo, who is in attendance this evening. Support is B.P. Fallon and "Fatima Mansions".
"Elevation" tour - june 05, 2001 / Boston, MA - Fleet Center - PJ Harvey. Almost two dozen cameras are in the arena tonight to tape the show for an upcoming home video release and TV special. Bono makes repeated references to U2's early shows in Boston at The Paradise. Bono introduces Edge: "In the number 7 shirt, he could have come from by spaceshuttle tonight, but he´s travelling on a creamy, white, yellowy Les Paul...Tge Edge". Edge wears this night red shirt #7.
"Edge guests with Lanois in L.A." - June 5, 2003 - Edge is a guest performer with Daniel Lanois at Lanois' concert tonight at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. They perform three songs together, "Falling At Your Feet," "Still Water", and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".
