Lynden Barber of Melody Maker writes, "[U2] make Echo & The Bunnymen sound as stupid as their name."

"The Unforgettable Fire" tour - september 13, 1984. U2 perform in Brisbane, Australia at the Festival Hall. During the show, several girls jump on stage and chase/dance with Bono. During "Mysterious Ways" the speakers emit a huge screech of feedback and Bono shouts, "Shut the f--- up!" Stuart Morgan, the bass technician, appears in the ZooTV Video Confessionals: "Adam, I don't love you anymore. I want a divorce, but I'll still work for you." The White House operator asks Bono who is calling, and Bono replies, "This is Elvis here." "Well, I'm sorry," the operator explains, "the offices aren't open." The crowd boo, and Bono leaves a message that "I'm alive, and he's dead." Support is B.P. Fallon, "Big Audio Dynamite II" and "Public Enemy".

'Passengers collective is officially announced' - september 13, 1995. After widespread rumor and several title changes, Island Records announces the formation of "Passengers," the collaboration of U2 and Brian Eno. The collaboration's new album is now titled Original Soundtracks, and is now slated for release on November 7th. Earlier titles included "Always Forever Now" and "Music For Films 4." Says U2 bassist Adam Clayton: "For us, this is an opportunity to get all this stuff out that there isn't really room for on our own records." The idea originally develops toward the end of the Zooropa recording sessions, when Eno tells the band he has started recording and instructs them to just play whatever music comes together - the idea proves so fruitful that he suggests they do it again after the Zoo TV tour ends.

"POPMart" tour - september 13, 1997. U2 perform in Barcelona, Spain. Estadi Olimpic de Montjuich - Placebo. Edge´s karaoke this night is 'Macarena'.

Photos and video of U2 in London (ABBEY ROAD) - September 13, 2006 - U2 join American rockers Green Day for a photo opportunity while the two bands record a duet together. Walking over the famous zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios in London: the seven members of U2 and Green Day, stopped the traffic briefly this afternoon as Anton Corbijn captured them meeting each other in the middle of a busy London road. And on hand to catch the moment on video was Bob Geldof, who was filming proceedings in the studio. The studio was the birthplace to most of the Beatles records, and countless other classic albums from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon to Radiohead's Kid A.
