SEPTEMBER 11: Project Arts Centre / Stuart Morgan to Adam / 'Sugar Sugar' / The terror attacks USA: nearly 3,000 lives lost / Bono attends the TIFF (#2) / Bono, Paul McCartney and Chris Martin in London!

"Boy" tour - september 11, 1980. U2 perform in Hull, England at the Wellington Club.

"The Unforgettable Fire" tour - september 11, 1984. U2 perform in Brisbane, Australia at the Festival Hall.

"The Joshua Tree" tour - september 11, 1987. U2 perform the first of the "Joshua Tree' third leg tour shows in Uniondale, New York at Nassau Veterans' Memorial Coliseum. Support is Mason Ruffner.

"ZOOTV" tour - september 11, 1992. U2 perform in Ames, Iowa at the Cyclone Stadium. During "Sattelite of Love", a fan throws a ZooTV tour t-shirt at Bono, who looks at it, says, "You paid a fortune for this...What are you throwing it at me for? Keept it...," and then throws it back. There are some interesting Zoo-Confessionals, including a "Good-Bye Rap" from "Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy"(it is their last night on the tour), and bass technician Stuart Morgan who says with a mischevious smile, "Hey Adam, you thought I was on stage tuning your guitar? Well, I'm not!" Support is B.P. Fallon, "Primus", and "Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy".

"POPMart" tour - september 11, 1997. U2 perform in Lisbon, Portugal. Estadio Jose Alvalade. Placebo. Edge´s karaoke, this night is 'Sugar Sugar'.

Bono attends the TIFF (#2) - september 11, 2005 - Bono is back again today at the Toronto International Film Festival. Tonight, he attends and speaks before the screening of Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man, a documentary about the legendary singer. U2 also makes an appearance in the film, singing "Tower of Song" with Cohen.

The terror attacks USA: nearly 3,000 lives lost - september 11, 2001. The World Trade Center (8:46, 9:03, 9:59 and 10:29 a.m.), the times when jetliners struck each of the twin towers, and when each tower fell. Around 2,749 people died at the trade center. Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where 40 people were killed when a jet crashed into the ground, and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, where 184 died.

Bono, Paul McCartney and Chris Martin in London - September 11, 2006 - It's reported that they were at Locanda Locatelly´s restaurant, on wednesday night, chatting away.
