The stage set-up is extended by 3 large vidi-walls at the sides of the stage, and behind the also enlarged lighting tower. For the first time, B.P. Fallon plays Disposable Heroes of HipHoprisy's "Television: Drug Of The Nation" as the intro to ZooTV. "One" is dedicated to "the men and boys of Guns 'N' Roses". Axl Rose joins the band for "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", marking the first time U2 perform the song since November 28, 1989(Osaka, Japan). During "Desire" Bono takes a swipe at the whole U2 camp by singing "For love or money, lotsa money....'Let's do it outdoors!'...more money!" Support is B.P. Fallon and "Fatima Mansions".

"POPMart" tour - may 24 1997. U2 perform in Columbus, Ohio. At the PopMart show in Columbus, Ohio, Bono spots a fan with a t-shirt that reads "Kill Bono" - Bono calls for the shirt and puts it on, and sings about it during "Bullet the Blue Sky" -- "How much do you think I get for this shirt? One hundred? Two hundred Three Hundred?" Edge sings " Daydream Believer" this night for his karaoke.

"May 24, 1998" - U2 split with longtime accountants, OJ Kilkenny & Company. The dispute stems from a long standing disagreement with manager Paul McGuinness.

"Elevation" tour - may 24, 2001 / Toronto ON, Canada - Air Canada Centre - PJ Harvey. Bono adds parts of Bob Dylan's 'Mr. Tambourine Man' in 'Elevation' and sings an abbreviated 'Forever Young' at the end of 'One' as tribute to the legendary singer who turned 60 years old today. Edge wears red shirt#55 this night.

Bono visits HIV/AIDS 'epicenter' in South Africa" - may 24, 2002. On day five of their tour of Africa, Bono and U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill visit Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital -- a 2,888-bed hospital listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's biggest hospital. There, hospital staff and donor agency officials tell them that although $50 million comes in yearly for AIDS, most of the 2,000 HIV positive mothers at the unit, who would need just $2 million for treatment, remained untreated. Bono and O'Neill are shocked by what they are told and see. Bono says "I am speechless," while Secretary O'Neill -- whose voice is described as 'quivering' by reporters in attendance -- says "This whole business about having so much money...and it not going primarily to treatment is just a stunning revelation. Before we ask for more money, for God's sake what are we doing with what we've got?" Later, the pair traveled to a housing project in Soweto, where Bono is greeted by schoolchildren singing along to U2's 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.' When their tape player breaks, Bono steps in to finish the song.

26th 'VERTIGO' show - may 24, 2005 - Boston, MA - Fleet Center - Kings of Leon - Edge was absolutely on fire / Gaelic counting during 'Vertigo' aon, dó, trí, ceathair' / no one was pulled up on stage / Peter Wolf - Teresa Earnhardt / 'My Sweet Lord' at the end of 'Mysterious Ways' - U2's unofficial hometown in the U.S. gives the band a loud and energetic welcome for the first of three shows to close out the tour's first leg. Bono counts 1, 2, 3, 14 in Gaelic during 'Vertigo', saying Boston is an Irish town, not Spanish (This is not a Spanish town,'said Bono, 'this is an Irish town', which was pretty clear with his unique introduction to Vertigo @ aon, dó, trí, ceathair' (That's Gaelic by the way!)...Former J. Geils Band singer Peter Wolf is namechecked during 'Beautiful Day', and '40' is dedicated to Teresa Earnhardt, widow of racing legend Dale Earnhardt, who is presumably at the show. My Sweet Lord at the end of Mysterious Ways. Larry had to run on the catwalk to get back for Yahweh, like he had forgotten or something lol. He's a fast runner too. And the Edge - in seemingly high spirits - let it rip with a welcome bit of mischief in his solos that made them even more piercing than usual, especially the raw-nerve ending jangle of ``Bullet the Blue Sky.'' ...(Clearly more people have cell phones now than lighters.). Larry is amazing. During Electric Co he broke both drumstick, tossed them behind him picked up 2 more in less then a 100th of a second and did not miss a beat. Toward the end of the evening, Bono said with a heartfelt sigh, ``It's nice to be home.'' Earlier on Tuesday Bono turned up for a book signing at Barnes and Noble in Boston....
