"From club shows into arena shows" - may 4, 1986. In an interview with WBCN radio in Boston, Massachusetts, U2 reveal their intentions of moving away from club shows and into arena shows. The first headlining arena date will be on June 28 in Worcester, Massachusetts. "If we stay in small clubs, we'll develop small minds and then we'll start making small music," Bono explains in Trouser Press magazine.

"The Joshua Tree" tour - may 4, 1987. U2 perform in Worcester, Massachusetts at the Centrum. On this night, Bono again pulls the stunt he originally did on the last night in Los Angeles on April 22, 1987--he walks on stage while the roadies are still getting set up and starts singing to the background track of "Stand By Me". Bono dedicates "I Will Follow" to the people at the Paradise Theater, where U2 played back on March 6, 1981. Support is "Lone Justice".

"ZOOTV" tour - may 4, 1992. U2 announce plans for their ZooTV tour.

"Elevation" tour - may 4, 2001 - Lexington, KY - Rupp Arena. The highlight in this Derby Eve spectacular: another U2 reinvention of the old where 1984's Bad and the chorus from 1983's 40 were slapped merrily together as a preface to 1987's Where The Streets Have No Name. It was a crowning touch to a show that merrily tossed past triumphs to an eager and willing young crowd. Edge wears this night red shirt#23.

Bono - Economic Club of Grand Rapids - may 4, 2006 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) Bono asked an audience of business and civic leaders in Michigan's second-largest city to encourage the federal government to do more to help fight AIDS and poverty in Africa. The rock star and activist also expressed hope Thursday night about a proposed peace agreement for the violence-plagued Sudanese region of Darfur.``We just got news on this very day that there's a potential breakthrough,'' Bono said during a 40-minute speech to The Economic Club of Grand Rapids. ``I ask you to pray for their success.''...``Africa is a continent bursting into flames and, deep down, if we really accept it, that Africans are equal to us, we would all do more to put the fire out,'' said Bono, 45....In Grand Rapids, Bono said about 40 percent of the African population is Muslim. He warned that if more isn't done to help the continent's poor children now, there is a greater likelihood that they will grow up in violence and affiliate with radical Muslim factions. ``We can save a continent,'' he said. ``We can change the world.''...About 2,000 people attended the sold-out annual dinner in Grand Rapids, which was open only to club members and their guests. Tickets cost $150 each.... a review, here
