U2 won Outstanding Song Collection-Ivor Novello Awards - may 22, 2003 - The band were in London this afternoon to receive a special honour at the annual Ivor Novello Awards. The ceremony takes place each year to recognise songwriters rather than

As well as the special honour to U2, former Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry was rewarded for his outstanding contribution to British music, Brian Wilson was given a special international award and UB40 were honoured for their international achievement.

25th 'VERTIGO' show - may 22, 2005 - Philadelphia, Wachovia Center - Edge was awesome / like in romance movies (Bono and the girl) / tatoo guy! 'We've had a great past in this band but the thing that excites us most is the future,' raps Bono as the song closes. 'What it holds in science and technology and the idea that the world can change shape and be better. We believe God is inspiring scientists and doctors and nurses, we met someone today at the airport and this is for the little baby she is carrying - this is Miracle Drug.'....Edge, meanwhile, is flailing his guitar to a thrilling climax....Human rights is still the theme as Pride In The Name of Love gives way to Where The Streets Have No Name and One - this time, as every night, the human rights in question are those of the people of Africa, living in poverty. Edge was awesome! A young girl, whose parents brought her to the show for her 16TH birthday. Bono iater pulled her up on stage as she danced to Mysterious Ways and he then sang With or Without You to her and had her run around the circle to his waiting arms on the other side, he then sat her down and completed the song having her rise as she sang the end of it with him. Like in romance movies! Earlier in the show he got tatoo guy on stage. Later he took someone's camera and took photos for them. Gloria ..In the solo part, Bono introduced Edge as "The" (his first name, right??)...". Some photos on: U2tours.com
