"Boy" tour - may 3, 1981. U2 perform in Tampa, Florida at the End Zone.

"War" tour - may 3, 1983. U2 perform in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Fulton Theater.

"The Unforgettable Fire" tour - may 3, 1985. U2 perform in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Hollywood Sportatorium. These are the final shows of the "Unforgettable Fire" tour. In the past eight months, U2 has performed in front of 578,000 people, many more than Bono had announced on April 30, 1995 in Jacksonville, Florida. U2 take two weeks off and start the summer festival circuit in Europe--the band receive 12 invitations to do shows, but only perform at a handful.

"The Joshua Tree" tour - may 3, 1987. U2 perform in Worcester, Massachusetts at the Centrum. The show started with Bono and the Edge sneaking into the middle of the audience with the house lights on singing Sam Cooke's Stand by Me..really great stuff. They played A Sort of Homecoming. The Edge again has trouble with "C'mon Everybody"--"Another classic trashed by U2," Bono jokes at the end of the song. Irish TV show "Today Tonight" interviews fans after the show. One particular fan has a lot to say about the state of America: "American's don't see, they're too isolated. We don't get the continental view that Europeans get. We only get one influence: America. We have no influences from other parts of the world. You look to the neorth, well, Canada doesn't give you much, and Mexico is a third world practically. Americans don't eve know the geography of Central America--if it wasn't for people coming in from other parts of the world telling us what we're doing there, we'd never know..." Support is "Lone Justice".

"POPMart" tour - may 3, 1997. U2 perform in Salt Lake City, Utah. U2 returns to Salt Lake City, Utah, for the first time since 1983. Shortly after the first strains of the "Pop Muzik" intro begins, it stops again and there is a delay of 15 minutes, reportedly caused by a phoned-in bomb threat which proves to be phony. Edge did have more to say this time around. He led the 30,000 people in a karaoke sing-along to the Monkees oldie "Daydream Believer."

"Elevation" tour - may 3, 2001 - Cleveland, OH - Gund Arena. Bono dedicated the latter tune to the old-timers who caught U2 in concert 20 years ago at the Agora in Cleveland. The gospel-tinged "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" was offered up on behalf of the late Micheal Hutchence of INXS. Bono paid tribute to another fallen hero, Joey Ramone, before "In a Little While," which Bono sang with only the Edge's acoustic guitar as accompaniment. The unplugged interlude also included "Desire" and the breathtaking ballad "Stay." This night Edge wears red shirt#7.

Edge was at the attendance of Bruce Springsteen´s concert!
