This second night the "Springhill Mining Disaster" is dropped from the set in the middle of the show. Bono attempts to introduce the song, but the crowd chant their soccer chant of "Ole! Ole! Ole!". Realizing the crowd were not in the mood to hear a slow song, Bono motions for the band to skip "Springhill Mining Disaster" and start "New Year's Day". Before "Pride(In the Name of Love)" Bono asks, "You okay in the back?" There is no response from the fans at the back of the stadium, and Bono mumbles something about sound taking five minutes to reach the back of the stadium. He asks again, and the crowd roar their approval. "Have you seen the way people up in the top make this really nice sillouette? I really like that...look at that...Isn't that pretty? Oh dear, fair play to you Bono?" he jokes, "Having a conversation with everybody! Isn't that what it's all about?" During "Party Girl" he thanks the crowd for putting "The Joshua Tree" album at #1 in Holland. A roadie comes on stage and quickly tells him, that in fact, while "The Joshua Tree" had been number one for 13 weeks, the new number one album belonged to someone else. Bono explains to the crowd, "There's been a big mistake. Somebody tells me Whitney Houston is number one in Holland!" The crowd boo loudly, and Bono replies, "Well, wait until next week..." The next week, "The Joshua Tree" returns to number one in Holland. Support on the second night is "In Tua Nua", "The Pretenders" and "Big Audio Dynamite".
